A life cycle of trauma (update DEC 2015)

A web search for “life cycle” images results in millions of hits, many beautifully rendered. A web search for “life cycle of trauma” or “cycle of trauma” images resulted in near ZERO usable visualizations of this incredibly important cycle.

I am NOT a psychologist: this info could be flawed. Please direct questions to proven competent professionals. Errors are my own. Much of the correct info is from Dr Will Joel Friedman.

Please note that linear cause and effect means you are at the mercy of events and automatically respond. Nonlinear stimulus and response means stuff happens, but you can focus on what stimulus has meaning to you and be responds-able if, when, and how action is called for.
